Adding Content to Existing Courses
Add or rearrange content from another content area or that was removed during initial course building by select "Add additional content" from the left menu on the Manage Course page.
Adding Content to New Courses (Course Builder)
When building a new course, content can be added, rearranged (and deleted) when using the Course Builder, by following Advanced Mode. See Setting Up a Course (Advanced Mode).
Note: Content can only be deleted while creating the course in Advanced Mode Course Builder and not from an existing course. To prevent student access to content in the existing course, use the scheduling function to set a date far in the future, unavailable now.
Adding Content from Another Curriculum Quick Steps
Start on the Manage Course page for an existing course.
1. Select "Add additional content" from the left menu.
2. Choose "Click here to add content from another curriculum".
3. From the Select a Curriculum screen, select the content area for the additional material. Then select the curriculum as needed. Click "Next".
4. Click the green arrow next to the Unit(s)/Module(s) to add content to the course. When finished, click the “Next” button on the bottom of the screen.
6. Repeat to add content from another curriculum as needed.
7. Use the up and down green arrows on the Arrange Content screen to order the Modules and Units as desired.
8. Click Update to save changes to the course.
Select "Add additional content" from the left menu of the Manage Course page.
Choose "Click here to add content from another curriculum".
From the Select a Curriculum screen, select the content area for the additional material. Then select the curriculum as needed.
Click the green arrow next to the Unit(s)/Module(s) of content to add. Then click the “Next” button on the bottom of the screen.
Note: Adding a unit of structure with nested modules will add the nested components as well.
Both the original course contents and the newly added content now display in the course outline. Added content is placed at the end by default. Arrange the order of each section by using the up and down green arrows.
Repeat this process to add content from further curricula as needed.
Click Update to save the content and order changes to the course.
